Privacy Policy
QED software (“QED”, “we”, “us” or “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains how the public website at playtime.software collects and uses information when you visit the site, ask a question or request a demonstration. It does not cover information processed through the Playtime ticketing platform on behalf of customers.
You can contact us about privacy at playtime@qed.software or 1A Porters Avenue, Eden Terrace, Auckland 1024, New Zealand.
Information we collect and why
If you contact us or request a demo, we may collect details you provide, such as your name, email address, organisation and message. We use them to respond, arrange a demonstration and manage relevant follow-up communications.
The website also uses essential technologies needed to operate securely and remember cookie choices. When analytics is enabled, Google Analytics may collect information about pages visited, referring websites, approximate location, browser and device characteristics, time of visits and interactions such as clicking “Book a demo”. We do not intentionally send email addresses or the contents of your messages to Google Analytics and do not use its advertising or remarketing features.
Google Analytics uses IP addresses to work out approximate location and to filter out spam. Google states that it discards IP addresses after use and does not link them to individual visitors, and that for visitors in the European Union, United Kingdom and Switzerland it does not log or store them. Other website services may process technical data such as IP addresses to operate or secure the website.
Cookies and your choices
Cookies and similar technologies can help websites operate, remember preferences and understand how they are used. Cookiebot displays our cookie banner and records your choice. Google Analytics helps us measure website visits and interactions so we can improve the site.
Our current regional settings mean analytics can start after website interaction for visitors in the United States, Australia and New Zealand unless they decline. For visitors elsewhere, analytics starts only after they accept. We rely on your consent where the cookie banner asks for it, and otherwise on our legitimate interest in understanding how our website is used. You can decline analytics or change your choice at any time through “Cookie settings” in the website footer. These settings will be kept under review and changed if needed for the regions in which we operate.
A live declaration below this policy lists the cookies and similar technologies used on the website, their purposes and durations. You can also restrict or delete cookies through your browser, although this may affect some website features.
Service providers and international processing
We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising or cross-context behavioural advertising. We do use providers that help us operate the website, handle enquiries, record cookie preferences and measure website usage, including Google Analytics and Cookiebot. Their processing of information for these services is not a sale of personal information.
Some service providers may process information outside New Zealand, including in the United States and other countries. For visitors in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland, Google relies on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, its UK Extension and the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, and where needed on standard contractual clauses. We take reasonable steps to protect personal information when using providers and to comply with applicable requirements for overseas processing.
Retention
We keep enquiries and correspondence for as long as reasonably needed to answer requests, manage relevant business communications and meet applicable obligations. We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer required, subject to relevant record-keeping requirements.
Google Analytics user-level and event-level data is currently configured to be retained for 14 months. Aggregated reporting may remain available longer. Cookiebot keeps consent records in line with the configuration and service arrangements in use.
Your rights and preferences
You can change your analytics preference at any time using “Cookie settings” in the footer. Depending on the applicable law, you may request access to, correction or deletion of personal information, ask us to restrict how we use it or to give you a copy in a portable format, withdraw consent or object to certain uses. Contact playtime@qed.software and we will respond in accordance with applicable law. You can also make a complaint to the New Zealand Privacy Commissioner or another data protection authority that applies to you.
The website does not currently use advertising pixels or remarketing. We do not currently respond to the older browser Do Not Track signal.
Security and changes
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect information. Communications with the website use HTTPS, although no internet service is entirely risk-free. We may update this policy when the website or its technologies change. The latest version and update date will appear on this page.
